First Steps (written by Margaret Buckley)

'First Steps' is a basic discipleship Course in twelve sections, intended, as the title suggests, for very new Christians. It seeks to give new believers an understanding of subjects such as the nature of God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, relating this to their new walk with the Lord. It includes, unlike most other similar courses, a section on the importance of the Jewish people in God's purposes, entitled 'Israel - a special nation.'

Our aim is that this should be a valuable tool to help teach new believers the first steps in becoming a true follower of Jesus.

  1. Who is God?
  2. Who is Jesus?
  3. The Holy Spirit and me.
  4. New life in Jesus.
  5. Who am I in Christ?
  6. God's manual for life - the Bible.
  7. What is the church?
  8. Israel - a special nation.
  9. How should I pray?
  10. What does God say about money?
  11. What is God's purpose for my life?
  12. Not my own - saved to serve.

The Worshipping Church (written by Matthew Clayton)

  1. Introduction (Psalm 42:1-2)
  2. Worship is for God
  3. God commands worship and the importance of worship
  4. Worship: A Natural Response
  5. How do we worship?
