Why does Father's House support Israel?
When we began to Fellowship in 1999 we felt The Lord asking us to support His people - The Jews. As we prayed, the Lord clarified the reasons for this support. We have attempted to list these comprehensively.
Father’s House supports Israel because we serve Jesus Christ, the King of the
Jews, who became a servant of The Jews on behalf of God's truth. Romans 15 v 8.
Father’s House supports Israel because we are called to bless Israel. God
has made it very clear throughout scripture that those who bless Israel will
be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed. Genesis 12 v 3.
Father’s House supports Israel because we are indebted to the Jews. They have
shared with us their Spiritual Blessing through Jesus and His sacrifice on
the cross. Romans 15 v 27.
Without the Jews we would not have:
- The Bible, which is written by Jews to teach us about the one true God.
- The Commandments, through which the moral structure of our society is
based.
- The words of the Prophets, who tell us that even now, God is gathering the Jews back to Israel in readiness for the return of Jesus.
- The Saviour, and without Israel, the words of the Prophets concerning
His return to Jerusalem could not be fulfilled.
Father’s House supports Israel because the Jews are the root of our faith in
the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and it is into that root that we, The Church are grafted. Romans 11 v 11-21.
Father’s House supports Israel because God makes it clear, through The Prophets and the first Apostles of the Church that Jesus will return to the land of Israel to avenge His people - The Jews. There, He will judge the world and one of these judgments will be specifically concerning how the nations have dealt with Israel. Isaiah 63, Joel 3 v 2. Zechariah 14, Revelation 7. (These are just a few of the many scriptures concerning His return to Israel and the Jewish people. Remember God did not reject the Jews and neither has He finished with them, Romans 11 v 1.)
In our support for Israel, the Lord then called us to align ourselves fully with His Word and with the Jewish people in keeping the Sabbath and the Feasts, as appointed by God in Leviticus 23, (which are fulfilled by Jesus whom we celebrate with joy at these times).
These Feast days are appointed by God Himself and He commanded us to keep them sacred. However they were removed from Christian practice in the 4th Century as a direct
result of hatred towards the Jews, giving a victory to paganism over The Church. The Gentile Bishops of the day replaced The Lord's Feasts with pagan feast days in order to isolate the Jewish people. As a result, The Church has become the main persecutor of the Jews throughout history. We at Father’s House have been called to stand in the gap and repent for these sins and their consequences, including murder - during the Crusades, the Inquisitions and the Holocaust.
